Bilbao Armata 2011 Event

Hallo

My name is Jesús Daniel Nuevo and I am writing as a member of the organizing committee of “Bilbao Armata 2011”, a historical European martial arts event (HEMA), to be held from the 9th to the 11th of September this year, in Bilbao, in the north of Spain.

As with many events of its type, we are at an advanced planning stage and should be able to post a definitive timetable and conditions and registration details shortly. However, at this stage the classes include:
- Long sword (both Meyer and German Style)
- Pole axe
- French rapier
- Burgundian ax
- Dagger
- Training drills with the long sword
- Introductions to medieval archery and 'Makila' (Basque staff).

The list of instructors includes;
- Roman Vucajnk instructor from Academia artis dimicatoriae and member of Historical European Martial Arts Coalition
- Fabrice Cognot from De Taille et d'Estoc and member of Historical European Martial Arts Coalition
- Johannes Pelzer instructor from Gladiatores
- Mishaël Lopes Cardozo instructor and founder of European Medieval Combat Academy and member of Historical European Martial Arts Coalition.
